Being located just around the corner from the busiest shopping street of Amsterdam, the Leidsestraat, and just 5 minutes walk from the Leidseplein makes YourCityBike a prime location that is easily accessible by foot, public transport and taxi.
On the corner of YourCityBike you can find the tram stop Prinsengracht, which is one of the most beautiful canals in Amsterdam. From there, it’s a one minute walk to our shop. The trams run every 2 minutes in all directions across the city.
We’re just a 5 minute walk from another major public transport hub, the Leidseplein. Here you can find multiple trams going all over the city. It’s also a great place to have a quick bite or a drink in the evening.
The museum square of Amsterdam deserves its far-reaching popularity with visitors and locals alike. Here you can find world famous museums, such as the Van Gogh, Moco, Stedelijk, and of course, the Rijksmuseum. We are just 10 minute walk away, through classic Amsterdam streets and canals.
Rembrandt square is our favourite place to have a drink or a night out. It’s home to great restaurants, bars and some amazing clubs, such as Claire, Club Air and Escape. Besides the nightlife you can also find statues of the legendary Rembrandt and De Nachtwacht. We’re just a 10 minute walk away, through this buzzing corner of Amsterdam.
Last (but not least) on our list of the most popular squares in Amsterdam is Dam square. It is the site of the Royal palace, national monument and the new church. Around the corner you can also find the red-light district of Amsterdam. It’s just a 15 minute walk to our shop from Dam square or a 10 minute tram ride.
As mentioned above, our bike rental shop in Amsterdam is very easily accessible from all over the city. From the central station you can take a direct tram which departs every 3 minutes and will bring you to our shop in less than 15 minutes.
From the airport you can come to our shop in two different ways. First is by bus number 397 that leaves every 15 minutes from just outside Schipol Airport’s main entrance. Get off at the stop ‘Leidseplein’, and from there it’s just a 10 minute walk to our shop. The second option is to take the train to the central station of Amsterdam and from there take the tram as described above. The trams leave every 5-10 minutes. Less than an hour from a plane to your bike. Wasn’t that easy?
If you’re not a big fan of the public transport (with which we totally sympathise), you can also take a cab or an Uber from the Airport. It will take you to our bike rental shop in less than 30 minutes. Another way to start your cycling adventure in Amsterdam even faster.
